In March 2026, a green tungsten carbide cutting blade—using castor oil-derived polymer to partially replace cobalt—received international Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification.
Life cycle assessment revealed a carbon footprint of just 7.9 kg CO₂e per blade, a 58% reduction compared to conventional products. Moreover, leaching concentrations of heavy metals from disposed blades were below the limits specified in China’s GB 5085.3 standard for hazardous waste identification.
