Today, Huilisheng will guide you through the key precautions for the tungsten steel cutting blade replacement process:
1. Inspect the Blade for Replacement
First, thoroughly examine the tungsten steel cutting blade to be installed.
Check whether the blade has been properly sharpened and ensure there are no destructive defects such as cracks or chipping on the cutting edge.
2. Inspect the Blade Holder
Next, inspect the blade holder, particularly the reference surface and the surface where the new blade will be mounted.
Ensure no debris or rust is present. If any is found, clean the surface carefully with fine sandpaper.
3. Install the Blade Securely
During installation, lightly tighten all fixing bolts to prevent the blade from falling and getting damaged.
Then, using a dedicated torque wrench, first tighten the central bolt, followed by alternating tightening of the left and right bolts (tightening torque: 160 Nm).
4. Protect Spare Blades
In addition to following the installation steps above, spare tungsten steel blades and tools should undergo anti-rust treatment to prevent corrosion during storage,
which could affect their performance.
5. Check Blade Sharpening Quality
If no better inspection method is available, place the installed blade holder in a horizontal position.
Use a micrometer to measure the thickness from the cutting edge to the holder. The overall deviation should be less than 0.03 mm.
6.just Blade Holder Gradually
When installing a new blade for the first time, set the blade holder to a larger spacing and then make gradual adjustments.
This prevents damage to the blade caused by direct gap adjustment if the new blade is thicker than the old one.
7. Adjust Blade Clearance
First, set the main control panel to "maintenance mode."
Then, slowly lower the blade holder using the manual control panel’s electric switch until the upper and lower blades overlap by approximately 150 mm at their ends.
Adjust the blade holder bolts with a dedicated wrench and use a feeler gauge to ensure a gap of 0.05 mm between the upper and lower blades.
After achieving the desired cutting result, secure the tightening nuts of the blade holder bolts to prevent movement during cutting.
8. Blade Holder Adjustment Ratio
Each full rotation of the blade holder adjustment bolt moves the upper blade holder by 0.75 mm.
9. Blade Gap Adjustment Guidelines
Under normal conditions, the gap for a new or sharpened blade should be 0.05 mm. If cutting quality is poor, adjust it to 0.02 mm.
Subsequently, gradually reduce the gap by 0.03 mm each time until it reaches -0.19 mm.
10. Importance of Blade Sharpening
To ensure cutting quality, proper blade sharpening is crucial.
Maintain the reference surface thickness of the blade within a range of 1.9 mm (minimum) to 2.5 mm (maximum).
